Writer, actor and director Paul Feig created the short-lived comedy-drama series Freaks and Geeks along with producer Judd Apatow, and directed episodes of its similarly short-lived follow-up, Undeclared. He has since directed episodes of Arrested Development, Weeds and The Office, as well as the 2006 film Unaccompanied Minors.

Feig has written two non-fiction books about his life and upbringing. The first, Kick Me: Adventures in Adolescence, discusses growing up a Christian Scientists and his eventual turn towards atheism. The second, Superstud: Or How I Became a 24-Year-Old Virgin, also deals with Christian Science, and charts Feig's tentative sexual awakening.
