Paul Bettany is a British actor who was born and raised in London, England. Deciding to start seriously acting at a young age, Bettany made his stage debut with West End revival of An Inspector Calls at the Aldwych Theatre at the age of 21. He soon was involved in many stage productions, but also made his screen debut in the 1997 film, Bent.He acts as Charles Darwin in the movie Creation, directed by Jon Amiel, which is the festival opener for 2009 Toronto International Film Festival
