  • Patsy Ramsey was the mother of 6-year-old murder victim JonBenet Ramsey. A trained journalist, she was also a devotee of the beauty contest circuit, avidly entering her daughter in child pageants, some of which she won. Ramsey and her sister had been named Miss West Virginia, in 1977 and 1980, respectively. She died of ovarian cancer at age 49.
