All-star hockey player Patrik Elias plays for the New Jersey Devils in the National Hockey League. Elias served as captain of the Devils during the 2006-07 season. NHL Career
Elias was drafted 51st overall in the 1994 NHL draft by the New Jersey Devils. He made his NHL debut in 1995 and played a single game with the Devils. Elias split his first three seasons between the Devils and their American Hockey League affiliate, the Albany River Rats. During the 2004-05 NHL lockout, Elias played in both Russia and the Czech Republic. He returned to the Devils following the lockout, but was sidelined for the first half of the 2005-06 season after he was diagnosed with Hepatitis A.
