Patrick Stewart is a well-respected film, television and stage actor whose nearly fifty year career has seen him play a wide range of roles in a variety of mediums. Perhaps best known as Captain Jean-Luc Picard on the television show The Next Generation and Professor X in the X-Men movie franchise, Stewart studied theater with the Royal Shakespeare Company before transitioning into film and television.
