• Patricia Heaton is an American actress. She was born on March 4, 1958 in Bay Village, Ohio. She has four siblings, Sharon, Alice, Frances, and Michael. Her late father, Chuck Heaton, was a sportswriter for the Cleveland Plain Dealer newspaper. Heaton's mother died when she was 12 years old. Heaton graduated from Ohio State University in 1980 where she majored in Drama. Heaton married actor David Hunt in 1990. They have four sons together, Sam, John Basil, Joseph Charles and Daniel Patrick Hunt.

  • Acting Career

    In 1987, Heaton played in the Broadway production of Don't Get God Started. After that, she co-founded an acting troupe called "Stage Three." In 1989, Heaton was cast in the television show thirtysomething where she played the role of an oncologist. She went on to appear in the shows Alien Nation, Matlock, Party of Five, Room for Two, Someone Like Me and Women of the House. In 1996, Heaton became famous for her role in the television sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond as Debra Barone. She won two Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actress for the show. The show quit airing on May 16, 2005. In September of 2007, Heaton began playing on the new FOX sitcom Back to You with actor Kelsey Grammer.
