Patricia Arquette is an Emmy Award-winning and Golden Globe-nominated American actress.

It was reported by TMZ.com on January 5, 2009, that Arquette filed for a divorce from Thomas Jane, her husband of two years, citing "irreconcilable differences." Many Hollywood insiders speculate that the two may have decided to hold off on divorce proceedings after the couple sent out joint invitations to a party to be held at their Los Angeles area home in late January. Arquette began her career in 1986, in the film Pretty Smart. A year later she starred in A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors. In 2009, Arquette continues to star in the NBC television drama Medium.

Her other acting credits include True Romance, Stigmata, Holes and Flying with Disaster. Arquette is slated to appear in Boyhood, which is to be released in 2013. Her film co-star is Ethan Hawke.
