Professional ice hockey player Patrice Brisebois plays defense for the Montreal Canadiens of the National Hockey League. After playing fourteen consecutive seasons with the Canadiens, Brisebois joined the Colorado Avalanche for two seasons, then resigned as a free agent with his hometown team, the Canadiens, in the summer of 2007. After originally signing for $700,000 per year, his salary was later doubled. During the 2007-2008 season, Brisebois played his 800th career game with the Canadiens and scored his 800th NHL point.
