    Bergeron left a December 20, 2008, game against the Carolina Hurricanes after colliding with Dennis Seidenberg. He was diagnosed with a concussion, spent one night in the hospital and was released on December 21, 2008.   • Career Highlights

    Bergeron began his career with the Acadie-Bathurst Titan in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League in 2001. He was drafted 45th overall in the 2003 NHL draft by the Boston Bruins. Bergeron made his NHL debut the same year, playing in 71 regular season games. In 2004, he helped Team Canada bring home the gold medal in the World Ice Hockey Championships. During the 2004-05 NHL lockout, Bergeron played in the American Hockey League for the Boston Bruins' affiliate, the Providence Bruins. He has since played with the Bruins, but missed the majority of the 2007-08 season after suffering a severe concussion during a October 27, 2007, game. Randy Jones of the Philadelphia Flyers, who hit Bergeron from behind causing the injury, was suspended for two games for the incident.
