The PATH Malaria Vaccine Initiative is chartered to develop a malaria vaccine, by working in partnership with other vaccine programs and organizations. On March 5, 2008, it announced a collaboration with the Seattle Biomedical Research Institute , the Human Challenge Center, which is seeking volunteers who would be paid for participating in vaccine trials.
