Patapon 2

Patapon 2 is the sequel to the popular 2008 rhythm-based platformer, Patapon. It was released exclusively for the PSP on May 5, 2009.

In Patapon 2, players lead a tribe of Patapons against an army of frightening monsters. The game mixes action gameplay elements with those of a rhythm-based game. Patapon 2 features 200% more content than the original game, featuring nearly 100 missions, new characters and drum beat commands, as well as special weapons and equipment.IGN: Patapon 2

In Patapon 2, there are eight drum rhythms to learn, which the player uses to lead the Patapon army. As the game progresses, the army will level up or evolve into new forms. The Hero Patapon, a fully customizable warrior, is another addition to the game. Use different weapon combinations or equip him with various Patapon Hero masks to give him new abilities. Seven music-based mini games give players the chance to earn additional bonuses and upgrades for their army.

The game also features multiplayer mode through Game Sharing. Up to four players can work together, or a single player can explore the multiplayer levels with the game's AI controlling the other three characters. The multiplayer levels feature two parts. First, the Patapons battle to attain a giant egg.
