Patapon 2 is the sequel to 2008's Patapon and picks up where the first game left off. Players again lead a tribe of mighty Patapons as they set sail across the ocean in their newly constructed boat. Shortly afterward, a kraken overturns the ship and the Patapon find themselves washed onto the shore of a strange land...

The multiplayer mode allows up to four players to work together using Game Sharing. There are two parts to the multiplayer levels: fight to obtain a giant egg, and then carry it to a shrine and hatch it.
