What's a Rarepon?
The creation of Rarepon in Patapon 2 works a bit differently than it did in the first game. Every Patapon is normally a little black guy with one big eyeball. By combining different materials at the Evolution Tree, players can evolve their normal Patapons into a Rarepon. By continuing to feed materials into it, players can advance their Rarepon to a maximum of level 10. Every Patapon can be leveled up this way, including the new guys introduced in Patapon 2.Each Rarepon has different strengths, weaknesses and abilities. For example, Sabara, has increased walking speed and is completely immune to Sleep at level 10. Mogyu has a slow walk and attack speed, but deals massive amounts of damage.IGN: Patapon 2 Review (Rarepon info)(April 27, 2009) GameFAQs: Patapon 2: Yaripon Database
