  • About Multiplayer Mode

The multiplayer mode in Patapon 2 supports up to four players using Game Sharing over an ad-hoc connection. It consists of two-part levels. In the first part, players fight together to obtain a giant egg. Then they carry it to a shrine, perform a rhythm-based ritual to hatch it, and loot the goodies inside. The challenge comes not only from securing the egg, but also in the teamwork required to maintain the rhythm during the second part. Players can use their customized Patapons from the single-player campaign in the multiplayer game.

Players with no friends nearby can also try out the multiplayer levels alone by using the game's AI to control the other three characters.1up.com: Designer Hiroyuki Kotani Explains Patapon 2 Multiplayer Mode (October 8, 2008)
