Patapon 2 Masks

In Patapon 2, masks are items dropped by different bosses during egg missions. They provide unique stat bonuses and are used to customize the Patapon Hero.

Masks drop from eggs and are obtained by defeating bosses in the Egg missions. Not all bosses drop eggs; some bosses drop two. And not all levels have bosses. Every mask has four variations of increasing effectiveness, and which mask the player receives is determined by how well he performs the hatching ritual.

Patapon 2 was released on May 5, 2009 exclusively for the PSP. The game picks up the story where the first game left off and features 200% more content than the original game. There are three new units, each with unique strengths and abilities. Toripon is a flying bird, Robopon is a robot that can throw rocks, and Mahopon is a magician Patapon who can cast blessings on the army and devastating spells. Every Patapon can be leveled up by combining different materials at the Evolution Tree. The Patapon can eventually be transformed into a Rarepon, which is more powerful than the average Patapon and has special abilities.IGN: Patapon 2

Patapon 2 also features a multiplayer mode using Game Sharing that supports up to four players. In each of the multiplayer levels, players must work together to obtain a giant egg from a powerful enemy. Then they must carry it to a shrine and coordinate to perform a hatching ritual and obtain the mask inside.
