Pat Roberts

Pat Roberts is the junior Republican Senator from Kansas. In 2008, he won his bid for re-election against Democrat Jim Slattery.

Early Life

Roberts' father, C. Wesley Roberts, was the Chairman of the Republican National Committee during the Eisenhower administration. After earning his degree in journalism and serving as a Captain in the Marines, Roberts worked as a reporter for five years before breaking into politics.
