  • Pasta Fagioli is an Italian dish consisting of a combination of Cannellinis or borlotti beans, pasta, tomatoes and seasonging. Pasta Fagioli varies in consistency from a soup to a thick stew.

  • Directions

    1. In a frying pan saute garlic in 3 tablespoons of olive.
    2. Add the tomatoes, broth and wine and simmer for 45 minutes.
    3. Add basil, and thyme and oregano.
    4. It the broth is to thick add more chicken broth or water.
    5. Add beans and pasta
    6. Bring to a boil
    7. Reduce heat and cook another 15 minutes.
    8. Cover and remove from heat.
    9. Let rest for 10 minutes.
    10. Top with grated Parmesan cheese.
    11. Serve with garlic bread and a tossed green salad.
