A passport application can be filled in online at government website and this has led to an influx of fake websites that are intent on stealing identities. The government has warned customers about these websites. Only Websites ending with ".gov" are official Government Websites. Authentic passport applicatios can be found at www. travel.state.gov. Non-Government Websites using ".com," ".org," or ".net" do sometimes provide gainful passport-related information and services. But, there are no other Websites approved by Passport Services to collect information and payment for those services rendered.
