National Park(ing) Day is an annual event celebrated in multiple cities across the United States on September 19. Created in 2005 by the REBAR art firm, followers of Parking Day celebrate the nation's open spaces and parks by creating temporary nature installments in automobile parking spots. Parking Day installments are most commonly seen in major cities, such as Los Angeles, California and New York City.
