• A Panini Grill is a grill press primarily for panini, an Italian sandwich made with ciabatta, cured meats, cheese, and vegetables.

  The grill can be a stand alone electronic device or a cast-iron pan for a stove top. An electronic grill will have a lid that closes down on the sandwich, cooking both sides at the same time. Stove top grills require the sandwich to be turned and a heavy lid to rest on top during the grilling process so that the sandwich is pressed.

  It can also be used to grill steak, hamburgers, fish, chicken, and vegetables.
