Pandora Internet Radio is a personalized radio offered online. It is part of the Music Genome Project.http://www.pandora.com/mgp.shtml For this project, musicians and technologists created an ensemble of music and divided it into musical attributes that identify the music by things such as melody, harmony, rhythm and lyrics rather then popularity. New songs are suggested based on this criteria. Listeners start a new station by entering a song they know they like. The Pandora Internet Radio suggests new song based on that song. Listeners may add new songs at any time.
Listeners can have a free account which will give customers 40 hours of free play every month. Once customers have reached their 40 in any given month, they are offered the opportunity to pay a small amount to listen for the rest of the month. Everything resets the following month and customers receive their free 40 hours again.
