• Features

  The HDC-SD5 uses a 1920 x 1080 high-definition lens for improved clarity over previous models. The lens is a Leica Dicomar, which works with the Panasonic 3CCD system to process light and capture colors. The HDC-SD5 uses memory cards to transfer videos and photos or can be directly connected to the bundled DVD burner using a USB cable to easily burn recorded media.

  CNET users report great video quality and like the compact design. Wired was impressed with the easy-to-use controls but was turned off by the flashlight-shaped design, making the HDC-SD5 difficult to hold steadily while filming.
