The Pan-Green Coalition is a political alliance in Taiwan led by the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP). It is named after the DPP's official colors. The Pan-Green Coalition favors Taiwanese independence. It used to be the majority group in the Taiwanese legislature but lost to its opponent, the Pan-Blue Coalition, in the 2008 legislative elections.

Organization
Though it contains other members, the Democratic Progressive Party makes up the majority of the Pan-Green Coalition. As such, the DPP controls much of the coalition's actions, and is kept in check by other members. The Pan-Green Coalition rarely proposes joint candidates to represent more than one of its member parties.
