The Pan-Blue Coalition is political alliance in Taiwan which is led by the Kuomintang (KMT). It is named after the KMT party's official color. Historically the alliance called for re-unification with China, but has since softened its stance. It now pushes for Taiwanese sovereignty, but increased economic ties with China. The Pan-Blue Coalition won supermajority control of the Taiwanese legislature in the 2008 legislative elections.
