Palm Springs Vacation

  • Attractions

Palm Springs is a city in Coachella Valley, California. The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway is an excellent way to start a vacation there. Riders will get a "breathtaking" view of Chino Canyon and once at the top, they can dine in one of two restaurants. For another desert experience, explore the Indian Canyons. They are just a few minutes from Palm Springs and consist of three different canyon's that are a "must-see." The Moorten Botanical Gardens is family-run and has 3,000 different desert plants for show. It's an "internationally famous living museum" and should definitely be visited while in Palm Springs.
  • Activities

Two of the most popular activities in Palm Springs are gambling and golf. In the center of the city is the Spa Resort Casino, which is a "player's paradise." There are 1,000 slot machines, 30 game tables and the ability to win $100,000 on any machine thanks to the "Paradise Jackpots" promotion.

If golf is your specialty, then you're in the right place. With over 100 courses in and around Palm Springs, it's no wonder the area has been called "the golf capital of the world." The Palm Desert Resort Country Club is open to the public and offers golfers a Palm Springs golf experience at a lower price then most.

  • Cuisine

Palm Springs has a variety of cuisine options. For a taste of "the best steaks in the desert" and some seafood, try the Chop House, also a favorite of Clint Eastwood. If you're looking for something simple, Tyler's Burgers is perfect. They serve the "best patties in town," shakes, coleslaw and other classic burger joint foods.
