Irish golfer Padraig Harrington won the British Open on July 20, 2008, beating out Ian Poulter and Greg Norman for the title. It was the second time Harrington had won the Open, the first being in 2007. Harrington has been playing golf since the age of four, and has more than two dozen amateur and professional wins to his credit.
