Author and model Padma Lakshmi hosts of the Bravo reality show Top Chef. Besides her modeling and television work, she is also famous as the former wife of the author Salman Rushdie.

The Scar
Lakshmi and her family were involved in a violent car accident when she was fourteen. As a result of the accident, she has a prominent seven-inch scar on her right arm.
