Pad Thai's Popularity
The Pad Thai found in America is generally heavier than the lighter version found in Thailand, but it is a very popular dish in both America and Australia. It is perhaps the best known Thai dish outside of Thailand. Pad Thai translates across cultures well because it is not very spicy, and it has recognizable ingredients like peanuts, egg and chicken.
