Cash For Appliances

The government is sponsoring another "Cash For" program... this time for appliances. However, instead of setting the rebate amounts at the federal level, each state will set levels and must turn in their proposals by October 15 in order to qualify. The Department of Energy will distribute the funds to states by population and each rebate will be between $50 and $200.

A number of people have not been pleased with the Cash For Clunkers program, but that has not stopped them from using it to either make a point or get a laugh. The following are some examples of the spoofs that are out there.
Cash 4 Sports Clunkers: would get rid of any player not "earning his salary" or those who commit felonies. Nothing was said about who would decide what constitutes "earning his salary".
