She says she does not become the character when she's shooting, and was grateful that it was only a 4-week shoot. She'll next be seen in Nine with Marion Cotillard.

- 7:33 PM: Ron Howard says he met Richard Nixon back in the 1980s at a book signing. He says the former President had no idea who he was, but was "civil." He says he wanted to make a movie out of Frost/Nixon after seeing the play. He says it's likely there will be an Arrested Development movie.

- 7:32 PM: Anne Hathaway is wearing a jewel-encrusted white gown with scaling.
- 7:32 PM: Jessica Biel has arrived.
- 7:31 PM: Queen Latifah is mocking how many shows Ryan Seacrest appears on. She'll be singing a song dedicated to all those who died in 2008.
- 7:30 PM: Brolin had the time wrong on the Oscar nominations, and thought he had not been nominated. Then, an hour later, he found out he was up for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Milk. He calls Harvey Milk one of the great, last American heroes.

- 7:27 PM: Rourke has never been to the Oscars before. He's wearing what he describes as his version of a tux, which was put together for him by Jean-Paul Gaultier. He's wearing a necklace dedicated to his recently-departed dog. He would have rather had the dog another two years than an Oscar. He says he'll be happy if Sean Penn wins.

- 7:25 PM: Marisa Tomei is talking to Seacrest about her role in The Wrestler. She's describing her character as undisciplined. In 1993, she won an Oscar for My Cousin Vinnie. She's currently working with Jonah Hill and John C. Reilly on a comedy.

- 7:19 PM: Seth Rogen is upset about having to follow Sarah Jessica Parker. Seacrest notes that he's looking thinner. Rogen says he lost the weight for a role, and isn't sure whether or not he'll get fat again once the movie's done filming. He's currently working with Judd Apatow on another collaboration, and encourages people to watch the Funny People trailer.

He says that Dev Patel, like his character, is underestimated but proved himself to be "a hero." Boyle's daughter recommended Patel to her father.
