• Audio Mix

  It was decided that the audio mix for the 2009 tribute video would not include the sound of audience applause, which happens to varying degrees as different photos are featured. Instead, viewers will hear only Queen Latifah singing the song "I'll Be Seeing You."

• Heath Ledger

  Though Heath Ledger died of an accidental drug overdose in January of 2008, he was included in the memorial reel shown at the Oscar ceremony the following month. Ledger received a posthumous nomination for Best Actor for his role as the Joker in 2008's The Dark Knight.
