Organic Farming

Organic farming is an environmentally conscious method of agriculture that utilizes crop rotation method, earth friendly herbicides and pesticides, companion planting, green manure, beneficial insects and limits or excludes thee use of synthetic herbicides or pesticides and genetically modified organisms. Organic agricultural methods are regulated and monitored by the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements (IFoam), which was established in 1972. As a percentage of total global agricultural output, organic farming remains small, but it is continuing to grow rapidly in many countries, particularly in Europe.

Over many years unnatural fertalizers, pesticides and more recent genetic enhanced crops have become the norm in our food supply. To become certified as an Organic farm, in order to sell your products as certified organic, you are required to become certified. There are international, national and local certification boards.
