Organic farming is an environmentally conscious method of agriculture that utilizes crop rotation method, earth friendly herbicides and pesticides, companion planting, green manure, beneficial insects and limits or excludes thee use of synthetic herbicides or pesticides and genetically modified organisms. Organic agricultural methods are regulated and monitored by the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements (IFoam), which was established in 1972.
