Organic Dairy

Organic dairy is produced by cows that are raised on an organic farm, have access to pasture and that are not feed antibiotics, growth hormones or Genetically-Modified Food.

Benefits of Organic Dairy

Consumers that buy organic dairy do it for a variety of reasons. Some say drinking milk from cows given antibiotics, growth hormones or Genetically-Modified Food are damaging to health. Others do it because they say animals from organic farms are treated more humane, or that organic farms are better for the environment. Another reason to buy organic is to support small, local farmers, although organic farms can also be large factory farms.
