Minor earthquakes are common off the coast of Oregon. An earthquake of less than 6.0 on the richter scale hit off the coast on March 15, 2008, without incident. The epicenter was 112 miles off the coast, at a depth of 6.2 miles. No Tsunami warnings were issued.
