Oranges are citrus fruits, they usually the color orange and have leathery, porous skin. They have been cultivated since ancient times and are thought to have originated in Southeast Asia. All citrus fruit trees are closely related and may be hybridized. Like other citrus fruit, oranges are prized as a source of Vitamin C. Somewhat over 60 million tons of oranges are grown every year, with Brazil, the USA, and Mexico being the leading producers.
