Onion dip consisted of a mixture of minced onions, (fresh or dried), onion salt and spices, mixed with sour cream, mayonnaise, or a combination of the two. Onion dip is served cold and is used for dipping crackers, potato chips, breads, and vegetables.

Directions
- In a small mixing bowl add all ingredients except chives and stir until ingredients are mixed together.
- Chill for at least 2 hours.
- After removing from refrigerator, stir the mixture one more time before serving.
- Top with sliced chives.
