Oneida

  • Career Overview

    After forming in New York in 1997, Oneida built a significant following playing live shows around the city, often in empty warehouses or at loft parties. The released their 1997 debut album, A Place Called El Shaddai's, on the small Turnbuckle label, and moved to Jagjaguwar for the follow-up, Enemy Hogs.

    The band started their own imprint on Jagjaguwar, Brah Records, which has released music from Parts and Labor, Oakley Hall and other Brooklyn bands. They celebrated 10 years of performing together with a New York concert in September of 2007.
