It stars Frederic March as Methodist cleric William Spence who moves his family on an almost monthly basis because of his calling. His children resent this fact and have a difficult time forming friendships, which causes conflict within the family. Rev. Spence eventually becomes more stable and grounded due to a series of randomized events.
