    The Olympic torch left Paris on Monday, April 7, 2008, under high security due to of threats of protesters attempting to put out the flame. The protests of the 2008 Olympics are due to China's Censorship, human rights abuses, refusal to allow Tibetan Independence, and China's role in Darfur. Police officers in Paris heightened security for the event after aggressive protesters attempted to put out the flame in London.
