  • Olympic Short Track Speed Skating has been contested at the Winter Olympics since 1992. In Short Track Speed Skating the competitors needs more than speed skills. The event is an elimination event where the athletes must try to outskate their fellow competitors in each heat.     Short track speed skating was invented in Europe but quickly spread to the United States and Canada, and soon it became very popular.
