Oliver Ekman-Larsson was drafted sixth overall in the first round of the 2009 NHL Draft by the Phoenix Coyotes
A Defenceman, the 6'2, 176-pound youngster posted three goals and 14 assists in 39 games for Leksand IF in the Allsvenskan, the highest farm league system in Sweden. It was the most points by anyone his age.
Compared to a younger version of Sergei Zubov and Mattias Ohlund the future looks bright for Ekman-Larsson.
