Further Investigation
Steve Haseman, a safety and training adviser and acquaintance of Ashe's, theorized that Ashe may have lost altitude awareness during the jump. He reported that Ashe, who was a seasoned skydiver, failed to release his emergency chute in time to allow for a safe landing. During the fatal fall, Ashe was videotaping the jump and police are examining the videotape for any clues that may explain what went wrong.MyFoxAtlanta: Tech Student Had Video Camera During Fatal Skydiving Fall (July 27, 2008)-
