The Old Town Ale House is located on the North Side of Chicago, Illinois, near Lincoln Park. The bar is known for its spirited paintings of patrons and well-known Chicago residents. In September 2008, the bar gained national attention when co-owner Bruce Elliott began displaying a nude portrait he'd painted of Alaska Governor and Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin.

The Old Town Ale House and its co-owner, Bruce Elliott, made headlines in September 2008, when Elliott's nude painting of Sarah Palin went on display at the tavern. The oil painting features a naked Palin wearing her trademark glasses and red stilettos, holding a rifle and standing on a bear skin rug.
