Old Earth Creationism is a broad term that encompasses several schools of thought with regard to Creationism. Unlike Young Earth creationists, who believe that the Earth was created less than 10,000 years ago, Old Earth creationists accept scientific evidence that the world is older. Old Earth creationists use different theories to explain how the world can be so old, if it was also created by God through Genesis.
