Whirlwind is a secret brush skill in the video game, Okami, that lets Okami Amaterasu create a tornado around her that will blow all her enemies away. It is an upgrade from the brush technique "Galestorm", which harnesses the wind. Whirlwind will become unlocked when you complete the Fisherman's sidequest in North Ryoshima Coast by bringing him the marlin fishing rod and catching a marlin. Once you catch the marlin go back to the restaurant and speak to Umi.
To use Whirlwind, draw three horizontal lines with your PS2 controller or Wii remote, depending on which version of the game you're playing.
Okami is an action-adventure rpg game available on Nintendo Wii and PlayStation 2. It was originally released for the PS2 in September of 2006, and then ported to the Wii and re-released on April 15, 2008. The central plot of Okami revolves around a sun goddess named Amaterasu who takes on the form of a white wolf. Amaterasu travels along the Japanese countryside with a one-inch tall painter named Issun, and restores the land from darkness by solving puzzles and painting elements onto the screen with a "celestial brush."
