Thunderbolt is a secret brush technique in the video game, Okami, that allows Okami Amaterasu to summon bolts of lightning. It is an upgrade from the skill "Thunderstorm" which allows Amaterasu to harness electricity and target it against an enemy. To unlock Thunderbolt, go to Shinshu Field and win three races against the Mailman. The mailman will reward you with Gimmick Gear, which you must then take to Gen, who is located in a tower on the northwest side of the Aristocrat Quarter of Sei-An City.
To use Thunderbolt, draw a lightning bolt (from upper right to lower left) with your PS2 controller or Wii remote, depending on which version of the game you're playing.
Okami is an action-adventure rpg game available for the Nintendo Wii and PlayStation 2. The original PS2 version of the game was released on September 19 2006, and then the ported Wii version was released on April 15, 2008.
The plot of Okami revolves around a sun goddess named Amaterasu who takes on the form of a white wolf. Along with her minuscule artist friend Issun, Amaterasu travels the Japanese countryside and restores the land from darkness by solving puzzles and painting elements onto the screen with a "celestial brush."
