Ohio Valley University is affiliated with the churches of Christ restoration movement. It is a private, four year school that offers associate and bachelor degrees. The school's sports teams are part of the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
Campus Life
Ohio Valley University requires students to take a Bible study class each semester. Lack of attendance or excessive absences could result in suspension for the next semester.
OVU enforces a curfew for resident freshmen and sophomores. Curfew hours are midnight Sunday through Thursday and 1:00 AM on Fridays and Saturdays.
OVU offers co-ed social clubs with other Church of Christ affiliated colleges in replacement of fraternities and sororities. At present there are five social clubs being offered: Delta, Kappa, Sigma, Theta and Omega Pi.
