  • Courts have cleared Ohio voters to register and cast their absentee ballots for one week, a period starting September 30 and lasting until October 6, 2008. A legal controversy erupted over the early voting schedule after two voters, backed by Republican support, said that Ohio law requires a voter to be registered at least 30 days before submitting an absentee ballot.
