Octavio Dotel is a right-handed pitcher for the Chicago White Sox. A native of the Dominican Republic, Dotel originally signed with the New York Mets as an amateur free agent in 1993. Dotel made his major league debut for the Mets on June 26, 1999. Dotel also played for the Astros, Athletics, Yankees, Royals, and Braves, before joining the White Sox as a free agent prior to the start of the 2008 season.
